Experience
Douglas Glennon has been working with web technologies since 1997. He started as a technical writer for
PC Connection, a leading direct marketer of computing solutions. He programmed the technical writing
group's intranet site which provided on-demand, ad hoc reporting for the Marketing and Sales staffs, and then
moved into PC Connection's eCommerce Team where he was a Web User Interface Designer, focusing on website usability
and customer-centric evaluations of their website.
In 2000, Doug left PC Connection and started consulting. Specifically, he worked directly for Compaq
Computer (now HP). Since that time he has worked for various companies from small one-person businesses to large
multi-national corporations. At TAC Worldwide he worked on a large internal application for maintaining contractor
hours and customer billing services. For Centra Software he helped to deploy a complete site redesign on a very
strict deadline. For Nature Publishing Group he helped to implement a new article submission application for
Nature's online authors. For Killer Chopper, a custom cycle fabrication shop, he built a website that allowed the owner
to update the site, add products, pictures and more all from one administrative interface.
